and my advisor is just like, make your own labs with pi and arduinos! for mech eng design and controls
like, he gives exam or project as option for final, its pretty neat how it mixes up student performance

rab: yes
i think texas instruments too
new processors for everyone!
but no rly were all going to get $2 checks in the mail
its an interesting bug
rab: so looks like school is taking some of the final design project teams and giving them money to design labs
i think thats pretty neat
hopefully the EE department pays attention because their labs are pretty shit

school lab setups seem to be overpriced
like as a rule
and they usually seem like, medium-low performance on the electronics side
i wonder if there is already a graveyard of failed academic tech companies
sculptor: a lot of fellow kids at school did arduino and 3d printing stuff in high school
is neat, even the mechanical engineers can get stuff working
but for labs, it seems more like textbook situation
like, the shit is sold to departments and thrown at instructors
and then carried over for like a generation

eggsalad: Ah, if there's a steady paycheck in it, I'll believe anything you say.
eggsalad: Gozer the Traveler. He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!
eggsalad: Let's show this prehistoric bitch how we do things downtown... THROW IT!
eggsalad: Personally, I liked the university. They gave us money and facilities, we didn't have to produce anything! You've never been out of college! You don't know what it's like out there! I've WORKED in the private sector. They expect *results*.
