so you basically need something with a hole that can heat evenly that you can mount a thermocouple or something to

usually there is a hard reset procedure
that involves the reset button
however you can disable the reset button with some firmware upgrades
thus bricking your router if you lose the pw
but the cool thing is that it will be a functional brick on autopilot
with the same config forever
